The learning and exchange of information about dance
has an assured place in the 24th Joinville Dance Festival.
Programmed for 24th July, the And Speaking about Dance
was created three years ago, and has been growing
steadily ever since. The event is conducted in the
Juarez Machado Theater and in rooms at the Alfredo
Salfer Convention Center.
On this day, participants are invited to attend a
panel, round table, lecture and talk show with special
interviewees. The video/dance exhibition, which will
present choreographies that unite the languages of
music, dance and video, is also included in the program.
The guest speaker of this segment is Leonel Brum,
the well known researcher, curator and director of
important dance events in Brazil.
The event further includes the Academic Space (create
link for Academic Space page), created for presenting
scientific papers base don monographies, dissertations,
thesis and other academic research in the dance area.
In order to enable an exchange of information among
all festival participants, there will be no courses
or workshops on this day.
